Hot Water System

Heat pump water heaters work similarly to air conditioners in that they use energy to transfer heat from one location to another rather than producing it directly. As a result, they can save two to three times as much energy as traditional electric resistance water heaters. Heat pumps act like a refrigerator in reverse to transfer heat. Heat pump water heaters have a higher initial purchase cost than traditional water heaters, but their lower running costs may provide a good return on investment.

How heat pump water heaters works:
  1. A fan draws in air, containing heat energy, across the evaporator
  2. The evaporator turns the liquid refrigerant into a gas
  3. The compressor pressurises the refrigerant into a hot gas
  4. The hot gas inside the condenser coil heats the water inside the coil-wrapped tank
  5. The refrigerant reverts back to a liquid after heating the water and continues to the evaporator for the process to start again
How heat pump water heaters works:

Heat Pump - 170 Litre

With a 170 Litre capacity these units are ideal for smaller homes with generally 2-3 persons. In hotter climates these units can provide suitable hot water for up to 4 persons.

Heat Pump - 280 Litre (NEW)

With a larger 280 Litre capacity these units are ideal for larger families satisfying up to 6 persons in warmer climates.
